great stay but some breakfast improvement needed
The Premium Queen Room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Having breakfast delivered to our room the evening before was a lovely touch, great to start our day at our own pace. We appreciated the lovely courtyard where we could unwind and enjoy some fresh air after a long day.

Its location is great and fantastic, just next door to the ferry to USA, restaurants and scenic attractions, and Victoria by BC ferries on that day, fairly nice area. You can also visit Fish on Fifth that offers excellent meals.

Great location - very close to cafes and restaurants. Well-organised and good-sized room with comfortable bed and gas fireplace and huge soaking tub for US$ 153...

My premium queen room had a bathtub that practically blocked the door, talk about inconvenient! The breakfast was barely a meal, what happened to luxurious dining? And despite hoping for a room upgrade, I got ignored. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't with those glaring issues looming over my stay.

Sidney, Victoria, Vancouver Island, the ocean. You can't get better than this. I've stayed at many b and B's in Canada and in Europe. The Beacon Inn is in the top tier! A lovely modern home that looks like a Georgian jewel. Comfy four-poster beds and cozy appointments as well as a lovely breakfast room. Complementary sherry and cookies. Large and quiet rooms. Spa bathrooms with jetted tubs. The prices are totally reasonable for the island, a popular tourist spot for good reasons. This is a perfect pampering retreat. You will wake refreshed to a tasty gourmet breakfast. Highly recommended.

Convenient location to restaurants, shops and dock-side. Room was very comfortable and lovely decorations. Received a warm welcome by staff person. Quiet location.
Hard to find a reason but we could say not a big enough breakfast. Food was delicious but my husband needed a bit more.

It was cosy and comfortable
The breakfast. Two slices of toast with ham and cheese and a bit of fruit in a glass. That was not enough for a grown man to last until lunch time. That was a bit skimpy and I was very disappointed. We thought at first it was an appetizer but nothing else came. For this price, a better breakfast is in order.

A good European escape
The location is perfect, just a short walk to shops and the waterfront. Enjoyed complimentary sherry while relaxing, which turned out to be a good surprise each evening!
Unfortunately, the breakfast options were limited and did not feel substantial. We found the room a bit noisy at times due to outside disturbances, which affected our sleep quality.

Spacious rooms.
Lighting in the room could be improved for those wishing to use the comfortable easy chairs for reading.

The location was marvellous and incredible, a short way from Washington State Ferries. The area was domestic adjacent to Sidney's waterfront, main street, and many bookshops, the Victoria airport and the ocean for a walk along the boardwalk.
